Urinary / Kidney Stones

Urolithiasis, commonly referred to as kidney stones, is a painful condition that affects 1 out of 20 women. Fortunately, kidney stone disease can be prevented using modern diagnostic testing and treatment methods. If you have a history of kidney stones, you may be asked to drink 6 – 8 glasses of water per day to produce enough urine.

The urologists at SUS employ the latest treatments and technologies to diagnose and prevent kidney stone disease. Depending on the type of stone, we will prescribe appropriate medications or recommend diet changes to prevent stone recurrence.
